Farm Showcase

(purchase via Online Registration - $100 for AO Members, $200 for non-members)

A Farm Showcase is for those breeders who would like to put up a farm display adjacent to their alpaca pens. The showcase consists of a regular size pen located with a farm’s alpaca pens. The front panel will be removed to allow easy access. A sign will further designate that the pen is to be used for farm display purposes. Up to a maximum of 20 Farm Showcase pens will be rented on a first come first serve basis.

A banner and/or plastic display rack on a regular alpaca pen is allowed. However it is important for safety of alpacas and people to keep the aisle ways clear. Please limit equipment stored in walkways to a minimum. If the barn boss deems you are blocking the aisle, you will be requested to relocate your equipment. Signs hung on the pens are acceptable, but a table is not acceptable. Necessary manure handling equipment, a closed feed bucket, or small bale will be allowed so long as the aisle is easily passable. Any breeder with a farm display in a pen not designated as a Farm Showcase pen will be subject to a $200 fine.

Vendor Booths

Being the largest show in Canada, the Alpaca Ontario Show is a great place to gain new customers. Last year's AO Spring Show had 362 alpacas entered that were judged over the course of 2 days in 2 show rings. There were over 90 farms represented from not only Ontario, but all across Canada. We had a nice turnout of public from surrounding areas on both show days. The alpaca population in the country is growing and public interest and awareness are also increasing.

Vendor booths are attractively located in high-traffic areas. Two sizes of booth are available as follows.

Regular Booth - size 10' by 10'

  • one 8' table and chairs (vendors responsible for their own table coverings)
  • Rent $85.00 for Alpaca Ontario Members; $100.00 for non members

Large Booth - size 10' by 17'

  • two 8' tables and chairs (vendors responsible for their own table coverings)
  • Rent $150.00 for Alpaca Ontario Members; $175.00 for non members

AO Show Book Advertising: see table for cost

  • The AO Show Book is the book that everybody is carrying around with them all weekend. More than 300 copies are used by people showing their alpacas, and by the people who have come to watch. What better way to get your company advertisement noticed! With a variety of sizes available, there is one for you.
  • The advertising pages will be printed in colour on card stock.
  • There are a limited number of spaces available in pre-defined sizes on a first-come first-serve basis.
  • The available sizes are as follows:

  • All ads are to be submitted to Alanna Riff by March 4, 2012 in the size reserved in .jpeg format.
  • The ads will be printed exactly as they are submitted. No editing will be done of any kind.

Show Ring Banner: $150.00

  • Hang your banner on one of the two rings.
  • Maximum of 20 - 10 per ring
  • Maximum 10' x 3' banner (provided by and hung by advertising farm OR business) shown Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Placement in show ring will be determined by first come, first served.

On-line advertising: $50 (only 6 available)

  • Advertise your farm/business on the on-line registration site.
  • Jpeg, gif, png formats only
  • 6 side ads that will always be present, but the position rotates with every page hit so no one ad gets prime location. The ad size is 180 x 150.
  • The farm purchasing the ads is responsible for creating the ad.

Participant Package Advertising: $20.00

  • Include an advertisement in the Participant Packages received by more than 90 farms.
  • The advertisement can be anything from a business card to an 8 ½” x 11” flyer.
  • Maximum size of 8 ½” x 11”, no booklets.
  • The farm purchasing the ads is responsible for creating the ad.
