We are happy to participate once again in the Canadian Alpaca Farm Days openhouse. In the past, we
have had a steady stream of visitors and are looking forward to this again.
You are welcome to attend any time between 10 - 4 on September 25th-26th. (Or if you can't make it then,

We are located a couple km north of the village of Tamworth on the Arden Rd. We are 45 min. from both
Kingston and Belleville and a short 20 min. from Napanee or Kaladar.

Have your photo taken with an alpaca. Watch demonstrations in a variety of processing techniques.
You will have the opportunity to experience a range of beautiful alpaca products. Be entertained by
our cria (babies) running around, chasing each other. Bring your camera - there will be plenty of
picture-taking opportunities!
Our animals are currently boarded in Uxbridge at 755 Sandford Road. Just travel along Green Lane
until you can drive no further. The farm is situated at the dead end and will be open both Saturday
and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. We look forward to meeting you!

We had such fun last year, opening our farm to the several dozen visitors that came out! Once again, Gold Star Alpacas is excited to participate in Canadian Alpaca Farm Days. This is a National event in which alpaca farms all across the country open their farm gates and invite visitors to share in the delight of the beautiful alpaca. Located just minutes outside of Tillsonburg on County Rd #19 (12062 Plank Rd), just 1 km. north of Eden. Our farm will be open to visitors from 10am - 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, September 25-26 so that you can visit our gorgeous animals. Enjoy watching the newest additions to our herd (the cute cria), born this summer, playing and pronking in the corral. Get your hands into sheared alpaca fleece to experience for yourself the luxury of the fibre! For those of you who have ever considered joining the alpaca community, with an alpaca farm of your own, this is a perfect opportunity to view an operating farm and to discuss the merits of alpaca ownership. Crafters, knitters and fibre artisans will be excited to browse through our wide assortment of alpaca yarns, rovings, and custom knitted apparel, looking for the perfect compliment to your next project or gift. Please join us on September 25 & 26 from 11:00 to 4:00 for Art and Alpacas in the Afternoon. We will be
showcasing our award winning alpacas along with the art of a local artist and fellow alpaca enthusiastic
Kai-Liis McInnis. Please bring your curiosity and your camera. We hope we can answer all the questions
you can throw our way. Plus we have a few alpacas that are rather friendly to pose for pictures. We will
have 100% Canadian made alpaca’s products from our own alpacas along with contributions from friends. So
if you are looking to warm your toes for the upcoming winter months we will have socks and insoles along
with yarn and rovings.
If these days are not convenient for you please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to set up
alternative dates for you to come by.

Magpie Hill Alpacas is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, September 25th and 26th, from 10am
till 4pm both days. Come visit our 10+ acres of working alpaca farm within the city limits of Ottawa
(only 15km south of Barrhaven, or 10km from Manotick). Our Boutique will be open both days with a selection
of alpaca products including yarns, socks, teddy bears and many other warm winter accessories. Pick up our
Fall/Winter Calendar of Sales so you can find us when you are ready to do your Christmas shopping. Also open
nearby on Saturday from 8:30am until 1:00pm is the North Gower Farmers Market (on Roger Stevens Drive), where
you can purchase great local produce and other local items, including Magpie Hill Alpaca products - Saturdays
until Thanksgiving. We look forward to seeing you and to answering all of your questions about alpacas. If
