2012 Alpaca Ontario Show Stud Auction

It is hard to believe that the plans for the 2012 Alpaca Ontario Show are already underway. It takes a lot of work to put together the details for a show of this size. Each year the Show Steering Committee takes in to account the feedback of members and tries to make improvements or modifications where possible. We wouldn’t be able to offer you the level of show that we have provided, without the generosity of the show sponsors and the commitment of many enthusiastic volunteers.

Gold Sponsor (Sellers):

Gold Sponsor: A farm donating a stud service becomes a Gold Sponsor when the donated stud service is purchased in the 2011 AO Stud auction. The donating farm can earn only one Gold Sponsor title. However, the donating farm will receive 200 credits for each stud service purchased up to the maximum credits accumulated. If a stud is co-owned by more than one farm, it is up to the co-owners to divide the 200 credit amongst themselves as they see fit and let the office know. In addition to recognition throughout the weekend Gold sponsors will receive priority choice of pen location for alpacas entered in the show based on registration date.

Credits can be used in the following ways: toward show costs (excluding registration and penning), a vendor booth, advertising in newsletter or website, farm display, ring side banner, large screen display, banquet tickets. The credits are a 1:1 monetary ratio ie) 1 credit = 1 dollar. A maximum of 500 credits in total may be accumulated. Credits must be used before Dec 31, 2012.

Purchasers:

  • Preview the nominated stud services on-line from Nov 28, 2011 to Dec 2, 2011.

  • It is entirely up to each donor and purchaser to negotiate the terms & conditions (i.e., with respect to live birth guarantees, BVD testing, de-worming, etc.) prior to the auction’s close by phoning the farm/ranch whose stud you are interested in bidding on.
  • All breedings are to take place in 2011 unless otherwise negotiated between the parties.
